Early this morning I got up and turned on CNBC.  Let's see - the headline was that the Asian markets had collapsed!!  Oh really?  Hmm.... well they did go down somewhat, but collapsed?

So I decided to take my dog to her doggie day camp since it was raining.  When I got back (once again I'm a glutton for punishment), CNBC had a man on (whose name I didn't write down) but who they called - Dr. Gloom, Boom and Doom!  I'm not making this up.  His advice was to invest overseas.  Boy, now that was an insight.

Maria was at it again - talking about what a big down opening we were going to see.  They just can't give it up.

Sure enough, at the close of the day the market was up.  Too bad they don't replay their earlier broadcasts so they could listen to their blarney.  Sorry, but sometimes I just have enough.  I keep listening though, because I hope to pick up some nuggets of info along the way.  But their talking heads are constantly contradicting each other.

I did make a few purchases today and once again, if you want to see what I'm buying, go to the Purchases and Sales tab under Portfolios.  I was close to buying some Apple shares, but in the end decided to hold off.  I've seen it move up higher and higher and my thought was that the easy money had already been made.  But it could jump up quite a bit if the numbers are really good.  We'll see if that was a wise move or not.  I'll update the P&S tab at the end of the month and you can see how well or poorly I'm doing.  If you would like to know why I have purchased what I have, let me know and I'll try to explain it as well as I can.

If any of you want to get into a back and forth conversation, go to My Blog on Income Planner and we can give it a try.  Maybe we can learn from each other.  I know I'm always learning something new.

So that's it for now.  Have a good evening.
