Several subscribers have asked me at one time or another about mutual funds.  Some of that information can be found on Income Planner where I wrote about how John Bogle, founder of Vanguard invests his money.  If its good enough for him, it might be for the rest of us too.

But if you want to learn more about mutual funds, here's some information that might be helpful.

For beginners who want to know how funds work, you can try http://www.investopedia.com/ which offers free articles and http://www.troweprice.com/ whose guide makes it easy to choose the right fund.  Then there is http://www.fidelity.com/ and http://www.schwab.com/ that also have comprehensive information.

For somewhat more knowledgeable investors, you can go to http://www.morningstar.com/ for articles and fund ratings, http://www.bigcharts.com/ for interactive charts and investment research and http://www.mfea/, the Mutual Fund Investor's Center for portfolio tracking tools.

Experienced investors may get helpful perspectives from http://www.brill.com/ which offers archived questions and answers and lets you submit new ones and http://www.fundalarm.com/ which compares performance and suggests which funds to consider selling.  I like http://finance.yahoo.com/funds which is their mutual fund center.

There are countless other sites that will provide you with information, but be careful of those that want to sell you something.

In my links tab, I also listed some of the more popular financial websites that you may want to review again.

This is just the starting point.  If you want, you can Google yourself into oblivion.

Have a good day.
