This article drives home the nonsense that I have been railing about in many of my emails to you over the last year. Except they have kept a better track record. It's why I really don't say much anymore about the huge gyrations in the market from day to day. We haven't any control over what the whims on any particular day may be. It's frustrating to me also but I know that this stuff has been going on from the beginning, its just gotten worse over the last 10-15 years because of the enormous volume of shares now that can be traded in microseconds. Often I wait till the last five minutes of the day to buy securities that I'm interested in. So all you can do is to decide how you want to spread your money around and apportion it in such a way that there will always be something that is going up while something else is going down. Sometimes stuffing it in a mattress doesn't sound all so bad.
