“HOW” will Income Planner do it?
There are hundreds of closed-end income funds to choose from. It’s easy for an individual to become overwhelmed. Even more difficult is how to evaluate one from the other, how much of one’s money to put in each and how to diversify to create a well balanced portfolio.
Income Planner selects from the best closed-end stock and bond income funds and other income securities. Income Planner creates portfolios designed to generate a particular percentage (%) income stream on invested assets based on whether an investor is looking for a more conservative, moderate or aggressive approach to investing. A more detailed discussion of what is meant by a closed-end income fund and how it works can be found at the “What you need to know” tab.
Among the criteria used to make selections are the following:
- Is the fund selling at a premium or discount to its Net Asset Value? - How long has the fund been in business? - What is the quality of its portfolio? - What is the quality of the management company behind the fund? - What are the fund’s expenses? - What is the fund’s turnover? - What is the fund’s stability of dividends and/or interest? - What are the dividends and/or interest generated by the fund? - What sector(s) is the fund invested in?
