“LINKS” to other web sites
There are numerous links associated with this web site so those investors interested in doing their own research or furthering their education can do so. Each month, Income Planner will review the previous month’s core portfolios and track their performance. Investors will know what has been paid out and how the securities in each portfolio are doing.
Most months it is anticipated that investors will see no change in the securities held in each portfolio. If any changes are made in the portfolio, it may be that another security has become more attractive, not that the original security needs or should be sold. It could be that the original security has risen so much in price that its yield is now lower than when first recommended. Consequently, new money would not earn the same yield as previously unless the dividend had been raised along the way.
If the price has gone down, then additional money might be added to that position because its yield has now gone up. The positions selected are buy and hold securities. Only if some unforeseen event occurs would Income Planner advise investors to sell that position and move their money to another security. Some of the best links for further educating yourself on income funds can be found at the Closed End Fund Association web site at www.cefa.com. Additionally, the ETF Connect web site, www.etfconnect.com, has extensive information on closed end income funds and ETF’s.
